David Knutson, 78, of Clearbrook died on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center in Bagley, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook, Minnesota at 11:00 am on Monday, May 12, 2025, with the Reverend Michael Wright officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Final resting place will be at the Greenwood Cemetery at Clearbrook, Minnesota.
David was born on October 15, 1946, at Thief River Falls, Minnesota, the son of Carl and Mabel (Geving) Knutson. David graduated from Clearbrook High School in 1965. After graduation, David attended plumbing school. David worked as a plumber, carpenter and for Northern Pipeline for a short time. Davids true passion was farming and raising beef cattle. He loved country life and was able to farm until his retirement in 2019. In 2020, David and Sandy received the Clearwater County Farm Family of the year award.
David enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycle trips with family and friends. David loved spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. He had a special bond with his German Shepherd dog, Casey. The family would like to thank Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center for all the amazing care and love they showed David during the last two years.
David is survived by his wife Sandra Knutson of Clearbrook, Minnesota
Step-son – John (Lori) Larson of Clearbrook, Minnesota
Step-daughter – Kim (Dave) Jenkins of Bemidji, Minnesota
Step-daughter – Kay (Tony) Sunderland of St. Francis, Minnesota
Brother-in-law – Kieth Cook of Waverly, Minnesota
Niece – Christine (Matt) Biehl of Saint Bonifacius, Minnesota
Nephew – Adam (Tammie Jo) Cook of Buffalo, Minnesota
10 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren
David was preceded in death by his parents, his sister – Karen Cook; Grandson – Jason Jallen; and his in-laws – Harlan and Inga Nelson
