David Leland Lee, Sr. Sr.

Graveside Funeral Services for David Leland Lee, Sr. age 89, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1:00 pm at New Palestine Cemetery.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Peyton Lee will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, MS, "Papa" grew up working at his dads local feed store, City Cash Feed Store. David join the United States Navy in his early 20's. After his service in the Navy, he went into the Oil Industry as a mechanical engineer and retired from Odeco and Western. He married the love of his life "Pat" and they had 2 sons that they were able to raise in his hometown. David's passion was watching his boys and later his grand-girls compete in horse shows and Rodeo. After the tragic loss of both of his sons, David and Pat continued to enjoy life with their grand-girls. His memories will live on through all of his grandchildren, extended family and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Leland Lee and Annie Ruth Lee; loving wife, Patricia Darlene Lee; son, David "Chip" Lee, Jr. and Michael "Mike" Lee, DVM; brother, Donald Ray Lee

Left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Mindi Marie (Jeremy) Glidewell, Randa Kay (Bo) Craig, Renee Kameron (Brock) Simon; great grandchildren, Raegan Lee (Brody) Fazende, Rainey Darlene Lee - Smith (McKay), Hayes Michael Craig, Ellis Lee Simon, Parker Kate Craig; great great grandchildren, Asher Layne Fazende, Emery Rayne Fazende.
