It is with both sorrow and celebration of a life well-lived that we announce the passing of David F. Lewis, age 81, on December 18, 2025. Born on May 17, 1944, in Binghamton, NY, David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is predeceased by his parents, Doris Lundy-Lewis and Burton Lewis, his son David E. Lewis, and his brother Rollin Lewis.
David is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Burrnett-Lewis; his daughter, Elizabeth Lewis; and his cherished grandson, Jack Lewis. He also leaves behind stepchildren Lori Dolgos and Gregory Burrnett, as well as siblings James (Waynette) Lewis and Dann (Diane Walker) Lewis. David's extensive family extends to many nieces, nephews, and loved ones, all of whom will carry his memory forward.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, David served his country honorably. He thrived in his professional life as the Vice President of Sales at IKON, where he made invaluable contributions throughout his career. Outside of work, David was an avid golfer, relishing beautiful days at Belden Hill, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and fellow enthusiasts. His commitment to his community was evident in his active participation as a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Chenango Bridge.
In celebration of David's life, visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at DeMunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, located at 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, New York, 13903. The Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Chenango Bridge, located at 740 River Road, Binghamton, New York, 13901. Military honors will follow the service, honoring David's dedication to his country.
