David was born on December 22nd, 1933 and passed away on
April 22nd, 2025 at the age of 91It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of David Solomon Liepack, affectionately known as Dave, on April 22, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on December 22, 1933, to Benjamin and Florence Liepack, David was a beacon of joy, kindness, and love, always putting the happiness of his family and friends before his own. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation." David did just that, channeling his passion for people and wine into a successful career as a Salesman for Excello Wine and Spirits, from which he retired in 1999.
A lifelong Steelers fan, David moved to Columbus, Ohio, to chase his dreams, embracing the Buckeyes with the same enthusiasm he brought to every facet of his life. He understood that "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans," and he made the most out of every moment. He created a home filled with laughter, music, and the warmth of an ever-present western flick on the television. His love for life was contagious, his spirit vibrant, and his smile, unforgettable. David's joyful demeanor and love for his family will forever be cherished by his heartbroken family, including his beloved wife of 68 years, Anita; son, Marc; daughter, Karen (Marc) Conison; grandchildren, Michelle Abduljelil and Brian Fox, and their spouses; and five great-grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Florence Liepack, and his beloved daughter, Robin.
His life will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at the New Agudas Achim Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way, Columbus. As Walt Whitman said, "The powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse." His verse indeed contributed significantly to the melody of life.
We encourage all who knew and loved David to visit his memorial page. Please share your cherished memories, stories, and photographs, for they are the threads that weave the beautiful tapestry of David's remarkable life. Let us remember him as he was-a beacon of love and joy-and celebrate the profound impact he made on all our lives.
