Barry Steven Block

Barry Steven Block, a spirited and talented soul, left us on July 13th, 2025, leaving behind a symphony of memories. Born in Columbus, Ohio on January 16, 1953, Barry's life was a beautiful composition, a testament to the rhythm and harmony that he brought to the world around him. A loyal and loving family member, Barry's beat reverberated with those who had the privilege of knowing him and listening to his jokes. He played the drums with an energy that was infectious, and his tenure as a DJ showcased his deep love for music. Barry's stories about concerts musicians and the situations they got into resonated with all whom he engaged.
Preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Wasserstrom Block Levy Thomas; father, Arthur J. Block; brother, Herb Block; step brother, William Levy. He is survived by his step brother, Fred Levy; nephew, Yossi Merves; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, July16, 2025 at New Beth Jacob Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way.
