David Wayne Lincoln, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 21, 1949, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Joy and Maxine Lincoln (Krajefska).
A graduate of Mattoon High School in 1967, Dave pursued further education at Wabash Valley Jr. College before embarking on a lifelong career in the grocery industry. His passion for the industry led to him working in various grocery stores since high school. He eventually owned and operated Lincoln’s Super Value in Bourbon until his retirement. Dave was well-known not only for his hard work but also for his positive attitude and cheerful demeanor that his customers and friends loved most.
On June 13, 1976, Dave married his soulmate, Tam Fisher. The two met while working at the grocery store. Together, they built a loving family, raising three sons: Ryan, Christopher, and Todd. Dave took immense pride in his family, and his love for them was apparent in every aspect of his life.
In addition to his commitment to his family, Dave had a passion for old cars, especially Oldsmobile. He even owned a classic 1962 Oldsmobile. He also enjoyed the simple moments in life outdoors, often seen sitting on the deck or front porch with a cup of coffee in hand. Dave’s love for dogs, particularly greyhounds, reflected his caring nature. He will be truly missed by those who knew him best.
Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Tam Lincoln, his three sons, Ryan (Romy), Christopher, and Todd (Kristi); his grandchildren, Shaelyn, Taylor, Sidney, Bailey, Grayson, and Max David; and his great-grandchildren, Porter and Marley. He is preceded in passing by his parents and his brother, Phillip Lincoln.
