David Joseph Linskens, 83, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 2, 2023.
He was born in Wisconsin on August 25, 1940, to Irma and Antone Linskens.
Dave graduated from Kaukauna High School, and then served his country in the United States Army before going on to study graphic design in Chicago.
On June 2, 1987, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Marsh and together they raised a beautiful family.
David was self-employed and used his skill in graphic design to contribute to various companies in very creative ways. He used his creativity to make wonderful family name signs which he was known for gifting to his friends and family.
Dave really enjoyed hunting and trout fishing. He was convinced that he had “fished every river in Wisconsin”. One of his favorite activities was going up north to Pembine and spending time at the cabin with his brothers and buddies.
Getting together with his friends at a local bar in Kaukauna every week was something he always looked forward to. He also greatly enjoyed his visits with his sister-in-law, Lois every other Tuesday.
Above all, he loved spending time with his daughter, Lindsay. One of their fondest memories over the years was going to the Christmas Eve Candlelight service at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church together.
David is survived by his daughter Lindsay (Paul) Gretzinger, stepson Cory (Kristy) Schmitt, granddaughters Lilah, Rosalie and Ivy, and sister-in-law Lois Linskens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, brothers Eugene (Lavern), Anthony, Donald (Audrey) Linskens, and sister Joyce (Earl) Kelling.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (804 Grignon St. Kaukauna, WI 54130) from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
