David Lomax, 64, of Ranger, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born in Fairmount, Georgia on February 9, 1960, to the late Marvin Earl and Mary Janette Sluder Lomax. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Ann Lomax.
He is survived by his step-father, Sammie-Lee Shepard; sons, Nathan (Jennifer) Lomax, Cory Allen Lomax Poole; daughters, Tammie (Gustavo) Terrazas, Jennifer (Jorge) Arroyo; brother, Mitchell (Geneva) Shepard; sisters, Mary Lee (Randall) Chastain, Cynthia Murray; grandchildren, Kelsey Elkins, Cody Lomax, Christian Terrazas, Kaled Torres, Daisy Terrazas, Yhalia Torres, Davayde Lomax, Tambren Arroyo, Jayven Arroyo; great-grandchildren, Weston, Chloe, Harper, Elliyza; numerous ofther friends and relatives also survive.
Prior to his disability, David was employed by the Georgia Department of Transportation. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons with Randall Chastain officiating. To honor his wishes, his body was cremated, and his ashes will be spread at a private family service.
