I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.
On October 20, 2024, Pastor David Junior Lowe fought his last fight at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Fort Thomas, KY. His loving wife of 56 years was embracing him as he took his last breath and received his crown. He was the proud Pastor of Webb's Chapel Holiness Church and would have celebrated 41 years as Pastor on October 23rd.
Pastor David Lowe spent his life preaching the gospel and was a serving Chaplin for Fallen Warriors and a member of the Black Diamond Coon Hunters Association, Richlands, VA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and pastor to many.
He was born on August 16, 1949, to Earnest Raymond Lowe and Goldie Stilwell Lowe Compton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Sonya Michelle Lowe Street, brother Grady Lowe and two sisters Delores Joyce and Beulah Bailey.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ruth Ann Maxfield Lowe of Shortt Gap, VA, one son Earnest Raymond Lowe and wife Jenny of Shortt Gap, VA, one daughter (his baby girl) Peggy Darlene Hill and husband Marvin of Claypool Hill, VA. Sisters Lola Stacy and husband Aubry of Bristol, VA, Nell Ball of Cedar Bluff, VA, Bonnie Whited of Doran, VA, Judy Stiltner, and Emma Arnold and husband Lawrence. Brothers Hassel Lowe of Grundy, VA and Bob Lowe of Richlands, VA.
He is also survived by grandchildren Victoria Keen, Derek Keen, Whitney Justice, J.D. Lowe, Shawn Hill, Alex Hill, Jullian Buttler, R.J. Hill, Matthew Street, Katie Street and Sophia Blankenship (Granddaughter at heart). Great Grandchildren Austin Keen, Grayson Lockhart, Isabella Pruitt, Kadence Keen, Kameron Keen, Brayden Denver, Aubree Denver, Lukas Denver, Wyatt Justice, Jaxson Lowe, Emmy Lowe, Josie Hill, Dawsyn Hill, Howie Hill, Davis Hill, Georgia Hill, Blakleigh Hill, Waylon Hill, and two more great grandchildren coming.
Funeral services for Pastor David Junior Lowe will be held Friday, October 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Keen Mountain, VA with Pastor Tracy Puckett, Pastor William Marcum, Missionary Fonzo Randolph and Reverend Ralph Shortridge officiating. Burial will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery, Richlands, VA.
The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Marvin Hill, Derek Keen, J.D. Lowe, R.J. Hill, Rev. Phillip Hale, Rev. Tim Lester and David Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Allen Childress, Rev. Don Smith, Rev. David Woodard, Rev. Eric Hess, Rev. Lou Franklin, Danny Boyd, Willie Rowe, Rev. Don Tabor, Rev. Conrad Goodman, Rev. Robert Crusenberry, Scottie Maxfield, Bill Lawson, and members of Fallen Warriors and Black Diamond Coon Hunters, and pastors and preachers too numerous to name that he was associated with throughout the years.

The family of Pastor David Junior Lowe has entrusted the care of their loved one to Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA.
He will be escorted to the cemetery by the Fallen Warriors.
