David Lyons, age 61, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was born on October 29, 1964, in West Palm Beach, Florida He was of the Baptist faith and was employed as a shuttle driver with CARTA for sixteen years.

David lived life with passion and heart. He found great joy riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. He loved the beach, sailboats, and taking road trips with his son. Some of his most treasured moments were late-night talks with his daughter and spending quality time with his beloved grandchildren. Above all, David cherished his family and the time they shared together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Marcine Lyons; his sister, Pam Lyons; and his brothers, Sammy Jo Lyons and Shannon Lyons.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife of 42 years, Theresa Lyons; his daughter, Miranda Lyons (Emara); his son, David Lyons Jr. (Ashley); his brothers, Wayne Lyons, Tommy Lyons (Sharon), and Eddie Lyons (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Emma Marie Carter (Mason) and Brody Carter; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel.
