Visitation will be held at the 122 Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church in Kingston.
Friends and Family may gather Sunday, December 1st, from 11:30pm to 12:30pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12:30pm.
Burial will follow at Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery, 205 West O'Reilly Street in Kingston.
David Wayne MacDaniel, 66, of Kingston passed away peacefully at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston with his loving sister Nancy by his side. He was the son of the late Betty C. (Kline) and Edgar F. MacDaniel.
David had the heart and innocence of a child. He had a creative mind, and he loved building anything from buses and campers, to emergency vehicles out of LEGOs. He maintained a wide array of collections including baseball cards, wrestling memorabilia, figurines, and Hot Wheels.
David had a deep interest in cars of all sizes from old classic cars, to hot rods, to Hot Wheels. He also was a fan of Professional Wrestling.
David was a true patriot who loved the American Flag and had a deep respect for emergency services, especially the police.
A beloved member of the Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church in Kingston, David served as Chief Candle-Lighter for many years. His warm smile and happy greeting lit up many a Sunday morning.
David was friendly to everyone, both friends and complete strangers. But he had a special relationship with his beloved sister, Nancy. The two of them so often were seen walking around Kingston together, saying hello to everyone they passed.
David is survived by his two sisters: Nancy DiPaola of Kingston and Vicky MacDaniel of Albany.
In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his brothers: Bryan MacDaniel and Glenn MacDaniel

Dear Cousin Nancy,
I was so sorry to learn of the recent passing of your brother David. I see also that Susan, Bryan and Keith have also passed away. So now, you and Vicki are the only remaining children from Uncle Edgar and Aunt Betty. I am the youngest daughter of your Uncle Bill and Aunt Audrey. My name is Kelly Roosa Ferrara and I live in Wallkill (southern Ulster County). I met you a couple of times at my parents´ house in Stone Ridge. My two older sisters, Karen and Kathy, also passed a way within the past five years, relatively suddenly. I noticed also that your husband died earlier last year. I pray that the Lord is giving you comfort and strength at this trying time, with all of the grief you are experiencing. I regret that we all never got to know each other better as children and young adults. I know my Mom prepared a special remembrance photo album for you. I´m sure there were some fond memories recorded there. My mom really enjoyed making those books for loved ones. Perhaps I will try to call you sometime and we can reconnect a bit. Much love, Your Cousin Kelly
