Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. David Gordon Maddox, age 66, of Hoschton, Georgia who entered rest Tuesday October 7, 2025. Mr. Maddox was born in Gainesville, Georgia the son of the late Walter Harold Maddox and Lila Ruth Doster Maddox of Winder, Georgia. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Maddox and a sister, Donna Wilkerson.
Mr. Maddox loved Nascar racing and working on cars. He was a member of Walnut Fork Baptist Church, loved to travel and going on road trips.
In addition to his mother, survivors include daughter, Rayna Maddox Harrelson (Kyle) of Pendergrass, GA. Step-daughter, Daphne DeLee of Winder, GA. Four grandchildren, Kristin Womack of Winder, GA, Britney Hanna (Keenan) of Winder, GA, Sidney DeLee of Winder, GA and Cheyanne DeLee of Winder, GA. Three great grandchildren, Evangeline Hanna, Micah Hanna and Paisley Kelly. Sister, Teresa Maddox of Gainesville, GA. Brother, Hal Maddox (Cathy) of Winder, GA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2025 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00- 4:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
