David Maddux Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 25, 2024.
David Allen Maddux, 51, of New Braunfels, Texas went to his heavenly home November 21, 2024. He was born July 2, 1973 in Winkler County, Texas to William Wayne Maddux, Sr. and Joy Maddux.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Seadrift, Texas. Burial will follow at Seadrift Cemetery.
David was a husband and father who loved his family dearly. He was known as Daddy, Unc, Brother, Son, Pop, and counted many friends as his extended family. He will be remembered for the laughter, mischief, and shenanigans he shared with them all. He was always ready to listen and share life lessons, loving guidance and advice with those in need. David loved Christ above all and wanted to share the good news to the ends of the earth. To fulfill this goal, he traveled on mission trips to Africa, Honduras, and Mexico. In addition to his love for Christ and his family, he had immense love for his tiny patients which showed in his 20+ years as a NeoNatal Nurse Practitioner. Despite his failing health and the challenges he faced, he did not waiver in his belief in the Lord and we have no doubt he has found peace with Father God.
David was preceded in death by his father, William Wayne Maddux, Sr.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his mother, Joy Maddux; loving wife of 28 years, Jennifer Maddux of New Braunfels, Texas; daughters, Gracen Maddux and Cealia Maddux of New Braunfels, Texas and bonus daughter, Bailey Fox of Fort Worth, Texas; sons, Carter Maddux and Nate Maddux of New Braunfels, Texas; brother, William "Shucks" Maddux (Vickki) of Seadrift, Texas; sister, Kim Stafford (Ricky) of Seadrift, Texas; one grandchild, Carson Ashley; along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in David's name to Parkway Church Missions Fund in Victoria, Texas.
