David Lydell Manning, 51, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
David was born September 27, 1973 in Southampton, New York to David Lee Manning and Betty Crawford.
He was preceded in death by son, David Lavell Manning and brother, Verod Hopson.
He was a devoted husband and father known for his tireless work ethic, dedicating his life to providing for his family. He was a skilled handyman, always ready to tackle a home improvement project. In his free time, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite sports teams and spending time outdoors. Whether it was a weekend getaway to the mountains or a relaxing day at the beach, he found joy in simple pleasures and cherished moments with loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Min. Velda Renea Manning of Charlotte, NC; daughters Destiny Manning, Demetria Manning, and Danecia Johnson; father, David Lee Manning, mother, Betty Crawford; brothers Moe Manning and David Hicks; sisters Yulanda Hires and Melody Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm, Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The Celebration of Life will be on Sunday at 1:30 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg officiated by Dr. Pastor Samantha Council. Burial will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens at 1504 W. Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte.
