David Arnold Maxwell

David Arnold Maxwell, 81, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born August 22,1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Samuel and Charlene (Tipton) Maxwell.

Dave was a retired Master Social Worker. He served in the army and then graduated from The University of Arkansas Little Rock with his master's in social work. Following college, he took a job at the Arkansas School for the Deaf where he met his wife, Betsy. Together they enjoyed 46 years together. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Booneville. He loved gardening, writing poetry, listening to Elvis and Patti Page and watching television.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betsy (Gass) Maxwell; his parents before mentioned; 2 sisters, Mary Ella and Marjorie; and 2 brothers, Sonny and Joe.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 2, 2026 at Roberts Memorial Chapel, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

He is survived by two sons, Seth Maxwell of Booneville and Sean Maxwell and wife Julie of Greenbrier, Arkansas; 3 brothers, Richard Maxwell of Clinton, Arkansas, Jim Maxwell of Louisiana and Dewayne Maxwell of California; 3 grandchildren, Kate, Sadie and Sam; 1 cousin, Mark Maxwell of Booneville; and other relatives and friends.
