David Charles McCall, 73, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away on May 26, 2025 at home. He was born on May 27, 1951 in Fremont, Ohio to Charles and Betty (Brown) McCall.
Dave was known for his sense of humor and pranking his siblings, son, and wife and always having a joke on the ready. He also enjoyed following along with his grandchildren and their academic and athletic accomplishments. After High School Dave enlisted in the Army and served where received several medals including the Bronze Star. He worked at the Post Offices in both Clyde and Fremont for nearly 30 years.
Dave is survived by his wife, Audrey, his son David (Laura), his daughter, Tracey along with his stepchildren, Frank (Brittney), Angela (Leonard). Dave was one of eleven children and survived by Nancy, Rick, Bill, John, Laura, Jim, Charles, Diane He also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon, Aidan, Madelyn, Nolan, Hailey, Heaven, Estrella, Jacob, Delilah, and a great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom and sister, Loretta.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm at Wonderly Horvath Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State Fremont, Ohio 43420
A Memorial Service will follow visitation beginning at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Humane Society and the Wounded Warriors Project.
Dave will be deeply missed but forever remembered and loved by all who knew him.
