David McDaniel Obituary

David was born September 25, 1940, West Liberty, Ohio. He was the son of Neil and Ethel McDaniel. He was a graduate of Parkview High School and served in the United States Navy, retiring in 1982. He was united to Judith Jenkins on September 24, 1960. David currently owned and operated a specialty advertising business in Springfield. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed playing golf when he was younger. Judi was David's life and they were married over 62 years. He was proud of his faith and will always be remembered as a very kind, giving and compassionate man.
Survivors include his wife, Judi; two sons, Kent McDaniel of Dallas, TX and Steve McDaniel and wife Shelayne of Springfield, TN; two grandchildren, Madi and Jake; one brother, Marvin McDaniel and wife Donna, Springfield, MO; one sister, Betty McCullah and husband Patrick, Springfield, MO; and a host of family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Shepherd.
Private graveside services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Just learned of David's passing. He was a friend I lost contact with over the years but I have fond memories of our time spent in the Navy. I remember selling him a Pug puppy which I know David loved. We send our sincere condolences to the McDaniel family at this time of sorrow. May God Bless and Keep you.'

Judi and David, you've been on my mind for several weeks now, and my heart is so heavy to discover this heartbreaking news. Judi I miss you, thoroughly enjoyed our long talks about God, all of your beautiful home artifacts and stories, and am still burdened by my personal setbacks that kept me from growing my Concierge business there like I'd intended. You and David were consistently kind, generous, and patient with me while I tenderly navigated your lovely home. It was such an honor to have known you both, and my deepest wish is for your family to embrace you in the most comforting way you need during this unimaginable loss. I'm at 785-432-3919 if I can ever do anything for you and yours...my prayers and humblest condolences to you all.
