David W. McNamee

May 12, 1943 - December 19, 2025

David William McNamee, age 82, died peacefully at the House of the Dove on Friday December 19, 2025.

David was born on May 12, 1943, to John and Irma (Hinrichsen) McNamee. He married Lorraine Franson on June 17, 1967. They celebrated 58 years of marriage.

He worked at the paper mills in Port Edwards and Nekoosa for 35 years. He retired in 1999 to Connors Lake.

David and Lorraine have two children, Craig McNamee (Angela Davis) and Kari McNamee-Glampe (James) and one grandson, James David Glampe (JD).

David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irma and his in-laws Carl and Marcella Franson as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine, his children and his grandson. He is further survived by his brothers Jack (Dixie) McNamee; Michael (Ann Morgan) McNamee; his sister Kathleen (Fred) Parker; his brothers in-law Duwayne (Carol) Franson; James (Beth) Franson and sister-in-law Sharon (Mitchell) Bergman; his aunt, Myrtle McNamee and many nieces and nephews.

Per David's wishes, there will be no service. Arrangements are being handled by Rembs Funeral Home.

We would like to thank nurses Becky and Michel at the Marshfield hospital; Rembs Funeral Home and the amazing staff of the House of the Dove.

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 1 John 2:25.
