WILLIAM “BILL” JAMES MCNAMEE, age 67, of Waseca, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Central Health Care in Le Center following a short battle with throat cancer.
Bill was born on March 23, 1958, in Waseca, the son of James and Betty (Abbe) McNamee. He was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his Catholic faith at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. He received his education at Waseca Central High School.
Bill was known as a hard worker throughout his life. He spent more than 15 summers working for Birds Eye and held various other jobs around town. He also worked alongside his brother at the Cenex Distribution Center, loading and unloading semis. Outside of work, Bill enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, listening to rock music, and cruising in muscle cars with his brothers. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his siblings: Laura (Robert) Maas of Janesville, James McNamee of Mankato, and Don McNamee of Faribault; nieces and nephews: Jason Maas, Kenneth Maas, Christopher Maas, Joy McNamee, and John McNamee; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his baby brother, Ronald; and his sister-in-law, Diane.
Private family services will be held.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
