David Scott Messenger, 55, of Davis, passed away unexpected on July 17, 2024 at his residence. Born on May 5, 1969, in Weston, he was the son of Larry Messenger and Donna Blake.
Scott was a graduate of Tucker County High School and was a lifelong resident of Davis. He was a skilled carpenter and owned his own business that he grew from handyman jobs to full renovations of homes. Being a jack of all trades, he was a hard worker and was always ready and willing to help anyone out. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bike riding. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Tyson Messenger of Bowden; and two brothers, Dan Messenger of Franklin, and Michael Messenger of Davis.
Scott's wishes to be cremated were honored. Friends will be received on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 5 to 7 PM at the Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home to celebrate Scott's life.
