David was born on December 10, 1932 and passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. David was a resident of Chatfield, Minnesota at the time of his passing. He graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1951. David attended the University of Minnesota Agriculture program for 1 year. He then enlisted in the Navy from 1953-1957 where he served on the USS Columbus in the operation intelligence division. After his Navy service David began his career in farming in 1957. He was married to Diane. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 PM Saturday January 2 2016 at Root Prairie Lutheran Church with Pastor Karla Kirkeby officiating.Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday January 1 2016 at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Root Prairie Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Seasons Hospice Home Care or Root Prairie Lutheran Church.
