David Nolan Miller Sr., age 53, of Algonac, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 7, 2024. He was born to Clara Goltz and the late Richard Miller on October 4, 1970. Dave worked as a carpenter for Pringle construction. Following his time at Pringle, Dave went on to do tree work. David married Jennifer Porzondek in 2002. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes and teaching his son and grandsons to ride also. Dave was selfless. He was a man who always put others needs before his own. He was content being at home working and building things in his garage or in his yard watching the kids ride and spending time with friends and family. His kindness and big heart will be missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Devon (Joe Milke) Miller, son David Miller Jr.; grandsons, Leo and Hudson Miller- Milke; mother, Clara Goltz; siblings, Dennis (Sandra) Miller, Sherry (Mick) Frantz, James (Angie) Miller, Jason (Nicole) Miller; mother-in-law, Susan Porzondek; siblings in-law, Larry Jr. (Tina) Porzondek, Gary (Laura) Porzondek, Tammy (Randy) Lewicki; faithful companions, Cash and Carter, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Richard Miller, stepfather, Gerry Goltz, father-in-law, Larry Porzondek Sr.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at 7:00 p.m. at Young- Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Dave will be laid to rest on Thursday, June 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery, Clay Twp. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
