David L. Moll

David L. Moll of Souderton, Pennsylvania, met his Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face on Sunday, August 11, 2024 after experiencing numerous health issues leading to his passing. He was 78 years of age.
Born in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, Dave was the youngest son of the late Ralph T. Moll and the late Margaret Evans Moll. He attended Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and was a faithful attender of Calvary Baptist Church, Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
David enlisted in the Air Force in August of 1965 and was Honorably Discharged in January of 1966, due to a serious shoulder injury.
Also in 1965, he met his wife-to-be, Gail Rice, and the couple went on to marry in September of 1967. After his Honorable Discharge from the Air Force, David held various positions at different small companies until his June 1969 hire at Merck, Sharp, & Dohme in West Point, Pennsylvania. He retired from that company 37 years later.
During his employment at Merck, Sharp, and Dohme, he attended Spring Garden College, achieved straight A's, and graduated as a Certified Machinist.
David is survived by his three children, David C. Moll, Timothy W. Moll and his wife, Valerie (Volpe), and Cathy Sloan and her husband, Patrick; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Crystal, Madison, Zachary, Kaylin, Alexis, Emily, Lacey, and Daniel; a brother John and his wife Sandie, a sister Roseann Varndell, a sister Donna Reed and her husband Wayne, a sister Margaret Hubler and a brother, Lamar Hubler and his wife, Elizabeth. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister Marlene Wolfgang, a brother Ronald Moll, a sister Shirley Thomas, a brother-in-law Gary Rice, a sister-in-law Nancy Barndt and a brother-in-law David Barndt.
David was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who was hard-working, funny, loving, and very giving. He has left a lasting impact on the lives of those he loved and those who loved him. When he wasn't working on his yard or with his family, he could usually be found on a golf course somewhere.
A viewing will be held from 9:00am – 10:00am on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am at church. Burial services will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, Pennsylvania.
