David Coys Moran of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Coys Moran and Christine Adkins Moran, was born Sunday, January 4, 1948 in Green County and departed this life on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at his home in Green County. He was 74 years, 3 months, and 8 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the United States Army. He was a self-employed welder. He loved old cars and enjoyed repairing them.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Patsy Milby Moran of Green County, having united in marriage on May 29, 1971.
Other survivors include a special nephew: Timmy Milby of Taylor County; a brother and sister-in-law: Tommy and Shelia Moran of Green County; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Geraldine and William Milby, Glenda and Larry Thompson, Christine and Nick Milby, and Eddie Mae and Ralph Lobb all of Green County; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Compton and Angela Moran.
A graveside services for David Coys Moran will be held at 12 Noon,CT, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Green County Memory Gardens in Summersville. Bro. Robert Adkins officiating. Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, Greensburg in charge of the service arrangements.
The family asks that expressions of sympathy take form of donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or PTSD Foundation of America, which can be made at the funeral home.
