O B I T U A R Y

James Elmer Ferguson, Jr. of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late James Ferguson and Mary Thompson Ferguson, was born on Sunday, February 5, 1956 in Louisville, and departed this life on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 70 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member for Beulahland Baptist Church. James was disabled due to being legally blind, however, he was still a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gail Rafferty Ferguson of Campbellsville, having united in marriage on June 6, 1993.

Other survivors include his 11 children and in-laws: Tabitha and Virgil Wisdom, Chanell Ferguson and her companion, Adam Allen, James Ferguson III and his companion, Katherine Grace, Richard and Daniell Martin, Kamiko and Ben Wilhoite, Jessie Martin, Amber Martin, Travis and Ashley Tompkins, Little Tompkins, Lucas and Bianca Waldridge, Sierra Waldridge and her companion, Sujan Veerareddy; 35 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Neil and Mary Beth Ferguson; two sisters: Debbie Mudd, Joyce Ferguson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son: Tommy Jewell; and a grandchild: Remington Waldridge.

Honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be announced later.
