David John Morrison, of Fairfax Station, VA., passed away after a courageous and inspiring nearly five year battle with cancer. A loving, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend, he was loved by many. David was born on June 7, 1959 to Hugh and Joanne Morrison. He was raised in Woodbridge, Va., along with his 4 siblings, Julie, Robert, Tommy, and Mary.
In 1988, he married Lynda Morrison and he gained a daughter. They settled together in Dale City, VA. He was employed by United Airlines for 32 years and served as a volunteer fire fighter with the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department. David was a dedicated husband and father who loved his family deeply. Many would say his greatest joy came later in life, his grandchildren. West (Mary Kate), Tate, Kaylee and Madison were his greatest joy and his passion. His free time was spent supporting his grandchildren in everything they did! He was a very proud Pop Pop. He loved cruising through life with Lynda and spending time together with his daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law, Jeff, and grandpuppy, Bo. Family was his everything. In return, he was loved unconditionally.
David was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Morrison; and brother, Thomas Morrison. He is survived by his wife, Lynda Morrison; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeff Connors all of Fairfax Station, Virginia; Mother, Joanne Morrison of Naples, Florida; and siblings, Julie and Mark Moroney of Allen, Texas, Robert and Ryn Morrison of South Boston, Virginia, Mary and Brent Owens of Avon, Ohio, Karen Morrison of South Riding, Virginia; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be planned held at a later date.

Dave and I had great memories together at station 14. We laughed and ran calls together. Even spent time at the old "Charlie Brown´s" in Tacketts Mill, great times
