David Paul Mort, 70, of Pierceton, passed away at Paddock Springs on December 29, 2025.
Born on December 30, 1954, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, David was the son of Paul and Helen (Augustine) Mort.
In his younger days he enjoyed fishing. After his retirement in 2020 from Lakeside Chevrolet Warsaw where he was a service writer, he continued his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed watching the Purdue Boilermakers and the Indianapolis Colts.
David loved his children and grandchildren and loved making wonderful memories with each and every one.
David is survived by his son, Bill Mort, his daughter; Jennifer Mort, stepdaughter; Tara Simons, sister; Susan Mort, Brother; Phillip (Diane) Mort, grandchildren; Dakota, Orion, and Rhyett, and one great granddaughter; Oliviiah.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
Services for David with be private. Burial will be at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.
