David L. Moss, age 71, of Green Bay, formerly of Milwaukee, WI, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born February 28, 1954 in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Beatrice (Force) Moss and Roosevelt Barnes.
David was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Milwaukee, WI, Class of 1971. After high school, David enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served his country until his honorable discharge. David was united in marriage with Agnes Ruediger in April of 1974. He touched the lives of many youth in the Milwaukee area as a counselor with Juneau Academy.
David was a talented artist and loved to paint and draw. He also enjoyed playing Chess.
David is survived by his wife, Agnes; his 5 children: Dana (James) Moultrie, Javell Lyons, Zakel (Victoria) Moss, Rashad Moss and Mylira Moss; 10 grandchildren: Chauncey and Rakim Hughes, Tommareay and Antjuan Haynes, Shuri'yah, Za'Niyah, Messiah and Mehki Moss, Sage and Navy Moss; many great-grandchildren and 3 siblings: Martha Freeman, Diane Moss and Roszina Moss.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margo Downey and a brother, Joe Louis Moss.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Friday, January 2, 2026 from 2 to 5 PM. A funeral ceremony will follow at 5PM with full military honors.
