David L. Mull, 64, passed away March 31, 2023, at Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kan. He was born and raised on a farm north of Pawnee Rock, Kan. on November 23, 1958, in Great Bend, to Charles & Mary Anne (Merten) Mull. He later moved to Great Bend and graduated from Great Bend High School and attended automotive classes at Barton Community College. He married Sandy Miller in 1980, in Great Bend.
David farmed and owned Mull Landscaping before later working for Lance, Inc., Harkers Distribution, and then retiring from Frito Lay in 2016. David was a past member of the Great Bend Coop, Noon Lions Club, Elks Club, and Board of Directors of Barton Farm Bureau. He enjoyed muscle cars, driving anywhere, working in the yard, KC Chiefs football, overnight trips, and his dog Roxy.
Survivors include, his wife, Sandy of 42 years of the home; a son, Marcus Mull of Great Bend; a brother, Robert Mull of Seattle, Wash.; a sister, Emily Ferri and husband Joe of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and special friends, Larry Lancaster, Ralph Reichuber and Leon Haselhorst. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Anne Mull.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2023, at First Christian Church with Reverend Joshua Leu presiding. Inurnment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's name can be made to the First Christian Church or Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
