David Nare Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wake Memorial Park Cemetery on May 24, 2023.
David Nyasha Nare, a remarkable soul, was welcomed into this world on February 2nd, 1985 in Nyanga, Zimbabwe. Raised under the loving care of his maternal grandmother, Merina, his roots lay firmly in Zimbabwean soil until the age of 17. As he sought new horizons, he journeyed to the United States, uniting with his family in New Jersey and embarking on his pursuit of higher education. His story on earth culminated in May 2023, when he peacefully passed away at his residence.
David's journey in academia was marked by sheer brilliance. As a student at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), he excelled in his chosen field, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. His exceptional performance, coupled with valuable experience gained through internships, paved the way to a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
His professional path was as remarkable as his academic journey. Over a 15-year span, David transitioned from an eager student engineer to an industry leader, managing intricate chemical processes in manufacturing environments. His exemplary contributions were acknowledged repeatedly through accolades and awards.
Yet, the essence of David was not confined to his accomplishments. His heart radiated warmth, reaching friends and family across continents and countries. He was a star that shone brightly, touching every life he encountered with his infectious laughter and vivacious spirit. His intellect, coupled with a profound understanding of human emotions, made him a beacon of light, guiding those around him.
A fervent football enthusiast, David's passion extended beyond the professional sphere. As a player, referee, and ardent fan of Arsenal FC, he expressed his love for the game both on and off the field. His zest for life was mirrored in his ardor for football, making every match he watched or participated in a celebration.
David's memory will be cherished by his parents, Lydia and Bakela; his brothers, Lester and Thabo; his ex-wife, Fatina; his children, William and Nala; and a vast network of family members and friends spread across Zimbabwe, South Africa, the UK, Canada and the US.
A memorial service to honor David's remarkable life will be held at Crosspointe Church, 6911 Carpenter Fire Station Rd, Cary, NC 27519, United States, on Saturday, May 27th, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to support Family Promise's community work at https://www.familypromisewakenc.org/donate.
