Dave was one of the first people I rode with as a new auditor at Brandager. I considered Dave a mentor and a friend. I was new to MN and Dave introduced me to White Castle. I was so happy when I found out he had met Gerri. I was even happier when I was able to meet her and see how happy they were togther. Dave was a great guy and will be missed by many. My condolences to the family

In 1985 I started working for Brandanger and Associates at which time Dave already had over a decade with this company. During my first week of work, Dave was my mentor and I proceeded to learn the auditing process. Each morning it was first things first meaning...stopping for donuts and coffee. Over the years I got to know Dave socially as we spent a weekend each year at one of our lake cabins. Dave was a very decent person who only showed excitment when discussing the Minnesota Twins. i am so sorry to hear of dave's passing. my oldest fondest memories go back to when dave helped coach a bunch of young kids in football at highview park back in the 50's. and many, many great nights sharing a beer with dave at Joe's Place. i hadn't seen dave much recently, but i will never forget the truly gentle, caring and great friend he was. larry wajda and the entire wajda family

My condolences to the Newgaard family. I worked with and knew Dave for over 20 years and I can honestly say it was indeed a privilege to have known him both professionally and personally. He was a good man and a good friend. He will be deeply missed.

I knew Dave since 1969, worked with him for over 35 years, and met privately and socially with him over the years, and can say he was always a classy gentleman, no matter what group he was with, even just some of the auditors at the lake. What a loss!

Geri and Family,
We will miss Dave greatly! He was a super Lions member, and I always enjoyed talking with him at Lions meetings and at the bank! My dad will miss him, too, as he usually got a chance to talk to him when he comes to the fairgrounds to store his boat. Sorry that we won't be able to make it to the viewing and funeral. You have our sympathy! Take care!
