David Randall Newman

David Randall Newman, 68, from River Hill, TX, passed away on September 17, 2025, in Biloxi, MS. He was the 2nd youngest of 9 children born to Ruthie Lee Foster Newman and Allen Rabon Newman.

In his youth, David showed a talent for construction, metalworking, and engineering, and gained a promising career in that industry. He helped work on multiple coastal casinos & resorts, and helped extensively during the recovery & rebuilding efforts for the Biloxi and surrounding communities during and after Hurricane Katrina, having stayed in Biloxi throughout the entirety of the storm. In his downtime, he enjoyed fishing and spending time in the company of family and friends as often as he could.

He is preceded in death by his sister Betty Dalrymple, brothers Johnny Lee Newman, Allen Rabon Newman, Jr., & Jerry Newman, and parents Ruthie Lee Foster Newman & Allen Rabon Newman.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Newman of Carthage, TX, sister Jean Newman McDonald of Carthage, TX, brother Steve Newman of Kosciusko, MS, sister Brenda Newman Gibbs of Longview, TX, and sister Carolyn Newman of Hibbing, MN, along with countless loved nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Cremation will be provided by Marshall Funeral Home in Biloxi, MS, and a corresponding memorial service will be held at 2061 Pass Rd., Biloxi, MS, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10 am for his coastal family & friends.

A memorial for family and friends residing in Texas will be held at Adams Cemetery, County Hwy 56, Carthage, TX, on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10 am.

A heartfelt "Thank You" goes out to all of the individuals who helped with his care over the last few years: Sandy Moore and the entire Traditions Hospice Team, his medical team at Merit Hospital - Dr. Northington, Donna, Hanna, and the entire 6th floor staff, and the loving staff at Ocean Springs Health & Rehab Facility who assisted him during his final days - Brianna, Crystal, Chloe, and Chaplain Michael Gibson from Traditions Hospice. Your presence, patience, love, and grace that you offered my father throughout all of this is beyond measure; "thank you" simply doesn't seem enough to express the gratitude and Peace this has brought.
