David Oaks, age 73 passed away February 14, 2025 at Prestonsburg Healthcare Center. David was born on January 25, 1952 to his parents the late Howard Oaks and Hattie Wright Oaks. He was a believer of the Christian Faith.
Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by four sisters, Shirley, Melba, Irene, Melster Hall, and two brothers, Clifford and Carl Oaks.
David is survived by three children, Christyna Little (Darrel) Warrix, David Oaks Jr., Linna (Jack) Prophet, three brothers, Ernest Oakes, Junior Oakes, Aubrey Oakes, five grandchildren, Seth Little, Crystal Lucas, Ashley Lucas, Austin Lucas, Lisa Lucas, and a host of loving family and friends wo will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m with Barry Lucas officiating. The funeral will be Monday, Feb. 24, 2025 at 11 A.M. with Gary Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery on Elkhorn Creek.
