Pastor David Glory Esenimeh Obozele at 59 years of age transition on January 26, 2026.

On September 14, 1966, Pastor David Glory Esenimeh Obozele was born to Elder Sylvester Aregbeghan and Mrs. Regina Omon Obozele in Lagos, Nigeria. David's family relocated to Benin City, Nigeria in December 1966.

Pastor David Obozele graduated from Edokpolo Grammar School June 1984, later to go University of Benin in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria where received a degree in Industrial Mathematics in 2000. While in college his classmate called HOD (Head of Department.) The friends he made in college became long-term friendships with his classmates. Pastor David Obozele would later go receive his Master of Science Statistical Science 2011 from George Mason University.

Pastor David Glory Esenimeh Obozele entered eternal rest after a life dedicated to faith, family, and service. He was born in Nigeria and came to the United States in December 2001, becoming a proud U.S. citizen in August 2008. Though he loved America deeply, his heart always remained connected to his beloved Nigeria.

Pastor David Glory Esenimeh Obozele got married to Elder Monica Obozele on October 26, 2013, in Woodbridge, Virginia. Pastor David Glory Esenimeh Obozele call his wife "Queen Monica", and she will call him "my King David." Pastor David Glory Esenimeh Obozele lived in Woodbridge, Virginia joyfully and peacefully until he passed to glory.

He was preceded in death by his brother Fiso Obozele as a while as his parents, plus his paternal and maternal grandparents.

He is also survived by a wife, siblings, nieces, nephews; Monica L. Obozele, Peter Obozele (Annie Obozele), Paul Obozele, Amos Obozele (Akhere Obozele), Pat Obozele (sister-in-law), LeTiffany Obozele, Shelia E. Obozele, Fiona A, Obozele (Olagoke O. Kuye), Sonja Traylor, Caroline Williams, Sofia Traylor, Adreinne Williams, Joshua O. Udoh (Omolola Odianosen), Jordon I. Obozele (Rachmach Obozele), Jared E. I. Obozele, Favor E. Obozele, Precous E. Obozele, Jakeh Traylor, Joah Traylor, Jensen Traylor, Darius Sharron, Cario Sheldon, Azariah S. Obozele, and Amari Obozele; plus host of great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Want to give a special acknowledge to his brothers from another mother; Pastor Ken Olmole, Pastor Dr. Ijeh, Deacon Andre Watson-Connell, and Minister Cyril Amoako. The Word of God states in Proverbs 18::24b (NIV) "There is a friend who closer than a brother."

Before moving to the United States, Pastor David worked as a Senior Account Assistant for the Nigeria Post Service and successfully managed his own business. Upon arriving in the U.S., he held several positions with Coca-Cola Enterprises, including Account Manager, Merchandiser, Inventory Control Planner, and Warehouse Supervisor. He later worked in IT Operations at Dovel Technologies and served as a licensed realtor in Virginia.

Pastor David was a devoted man of God-a prayer warrior and servant of the Kingdom. His ministry began in Nigeria under Pastor Ken Olmole and continued at Hope Aglow Empowerment Church under Apostle and Pastor Stevens, where he faithfully served as an Assistant Pastor. His passion for God and his unwavering faith touched countless lives.

Pastor David will be remembered for his love for all people, his generosity, and his desire to see others thrive. He was a man of integrity, compassion, and strength. His legacy of faith and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, church community, and all whose lives he impacted.
