Eunice Graves

Eunice Christian Graves, 78, of Dale City, VA, passed away on February 8, 2026.

Eunice was born in Lynchburg, VA to George and Eunice Christian July 21, 1947. She went to school at Dunbar High School in Lynchburg, VA. She married Lawrence M. Graves, Jr. on February 1, 1972 in Lynchburg, VA. She attended Northern Virginia Community College for Business Management. She worked as a Procurement Manager for Lockheed Martin for a little over 10 years, The US Department of Homeland Security for 4 years (while earning the CBP IT Security Awareness certifications), and the Prince William County Human Rights Commission a little over 2 years as a volunteer then retired. In October 2010 she received a Certificate of Appreciation in Procurement Directorate from the US Customs Border Protection. Then in December of 2010, received a COOP Awareness course certification from FEMA. Eunice C. Graves is preceded in death by, George William Christian II (Father), Eunice Christian (mother), Georgia E. Christian Jones (sister), Genevieve Carter (sister), Ralph Carter (Genevieve:brother in law), George William Christian III (Chuck:brother), Cynthia "Cindy" Harris (niece), Melvin Pollard (Rebecca Pollard::brother in law). Lawrence Melvin Graves, Sr. (father in law), Bessie Hughes Graves (mother in law), and Carol Lee Saunders (sister in law). As well as elder aunts, uncles, and cousins. Eunice Graves is survived by: Lawrence Melvin Graves Jr. (husband), her daughter Tiah Graves (Maurice Carter), Dorothea Graves (stepdaughter), Frankie L. Andrews (sister ), Rebecca C.Pollard (sister), Emma C. Barbour (sister), and Rodney B. Christian (brother). Her grandchildren, Myah M. Carter, Jazmyne T. Carter, Bella R.Carter, Markus L. Carter. Shayna Graves, Kiara Graves, and Ross Graves. Her Godchildren Tamela Elliot (Terrence), Sherri Fore (Tyrone), Jerry Carter (Carol), Ralph Carter Jr., Jacqui Camm (Tony). As well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

The family of Lawrence and Tiah Graves wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the family, friends, churches, Nurse Doris, Case manager Esther, nurse Esther, nurse Alicia, Nurse "Angel Wings, nurse Genevieve, and last but not least to Mountcastle Turch.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Eunice's life on Thursday, March 5th at 11:00 am at Mountcastle Turch Life Celebration Home in Dale City. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
