David Ollivier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Riggs Funeral Home, LLC. - Forked River on Mar. 14, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Floyd Ollivier, 63, of Beach Haven, New Jersey on Thursday, March 12, 2026 peacefully at home.

David showed incredible strength and determination during his battle with cancer over the last year. He completed chemotherapy and had just finished his final radiation treatment. Throughout it all, he never gave up and fought hard with courage and resilience. David will be remembered for his strength, his passion for the outdoors, and the deep love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, adventure, and unforgettable memories.

More than anything, David loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Cranmer Ollivier, his daughter, Allison MacGillivray and her husband Dean MacGillvray Jr., and his son, David Ollivier and his wife Emily Adams Ollivier. He was a devoted Grandfather, and loved his grandchildren Audrey and Dean III MacGillivray, with another granddaughter expected soon, his son's first child. Also surviving are his sister, Judy Kuffell-Ollivier, brother Dan Ollivier and mother of his children, Henrietta Holden-Ollivier. He was predeceased by his father, Alan and brother, Alan Jr. His family will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and lessons he shared with them.

David was a talented custom builder who took great pride in his craft and the work he created with his hands. He truly lived life to the fullest and found joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and skiing and was a legend to many when it came to surfing and skateboarding. He felt most at home near the water and in nature. David was a genuine person with a beautiful soul that inspired those around him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 12:00 PM at Kynett United Methodist Church, 127 Centre Street, Beach Haven- followed by a Celebration of Life at the Beach Haven Fire House at 1:00 PM. Band, food, and beverages. All are welcomed to join us to admire a life of precious adventures and unforgettable memories.

In lieu of flowers, our dad's wishes were to donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital for Cancer Research or Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania in his memory.
