Dave Olson, age 75, of North Branch, Minnesota, entered Jesus' arms on July 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, loving father, proud Papa, beloved brother, and cherished member of the community, Dave's presence touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Dave graduated from Lindstrom Chi Hi, Class of 1967. He began his career working alongside his father as an electrician, eventually moving to Colorado where he founded his own business, Live Wire Electric. Dave and his family loved their years living in the mountains and on the ranch, embracing the beauty and adventure of Colorado life.
In 1988, Dave returned to Minnesota with his family and continued his electrical career until retirement. His work ethic, integrity, and dedication to his craft left a lasting impression on all who knew and worked with him.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Jenny Olson; his children, Keri Fisher (Mike), Charity Lovas (Tom) Luke Olson (Tina), and Jerry Parkin; his brother, Ben Olson; and sisters, Karen Campbell (Mark) and Karla Waddell (Bob).
He was the proud Papa of his grandchildren: Michael Fisher (Julia), Austin Fisher (Katherine), Levi Fisher, Aislynn Fisher, Davey Olson, Wesley Lovas (Alex), Tommy Lovas, Tamara Lovas, Alana Olson, Allison Olson, Aiden Olson, Cassidy Seamandel (Savanna), Brayson Parkin, and Landon Parkin. He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren-and two more on the way-who brought him endless joy and pride.
Dave was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Olson; his parents, Bill and Wilma Olson; his brother, Jimmy Olson; and many other special relatives that he is now rejoicing with in heaven.
Dave loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and lived his life as a reflection of that deep and abiding faith. He found joy in croquet, geocaching, hiking, exploring, camping, fishing, model rocket launches, kayaking, and flying kites. These adventures reflected his appreciation for God's creation, his sense of curiosity, and his love for spending meaningful time with family and friends outdoors.
Dave was known for his kind heart, steady presence, and deep devotion to his family and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and strength.
While our hearts ache with loss, we find peace in knowing we'll meet again in God's eternal presence.
A memorial service will be held at Main Street Church (6500 Main Street) North Branch, MN, on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Visitation is at 1:00 pm and the celebration of life is at 2:00 pm. In honor of Dave's vibrant spirit, the family kindly requests that attendees wear colorful clothing, rather than traditional black, to celebrate his life.
