David Opfer Obituary
Beloved husband of Lisa Opfer for 30 years; loving stepfather of Brandon Ludwig and DeAnna Ludwig; dear brother of Dennis (Carmen) Opfer, Martin Opfer, Sue Opfer, Diane Easton, and the late Karen Parker; cherished uncle of James Opfer, Sarah Seel (Zach), Adam Parker and Leslie Maples (Wade); loving great-uncle to Natalie Seel. David was also preceded by his parents George & Marion Opfer & Aunt Virginia Bathe.
David enjoyed fishing and model airplanes. He collected beer steins, antiquing and sports.
Memorial Visitation, Friday, January 5, 2024, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles, MO 63304. Memorial contributions can be made to Gary Sinise Foundation.

Dave and I worked together at SCC, we talked daily when we both were assigned to the Dardenne Creek Campus. He would tell wonderful stories and memories of his wife, kids, siblings and family. They were never boring and mostly comical. Dave had a great sense of humor and the gift of gab which endeared him to many of his coworkers. I want his wife, kids and family to know we really cared for him and heaven got a great angel but too soon.
