David Mark Owen, born on April 29, 1960, in California, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in Virginia at the age of 65. Although he was born in California, David spent the majority of his adult life in the vibrant city of Orlando, Florida.

David had a passion for adventure and creativity, finding joy in activities such as going to the movies, riding motorcycles, scuba diving, and most especially, reading. His love for stories and exploration was evident in all that he did, providing him with a window to the world even when his health presented challenges.

Despite being disabled early in life due to various medical conditions, David faced each day with courage and resilience. In 2018, he relocated to Virginia to be with his brother Alan, where he found comfort and companionship.

A graduate of Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, David cherished the friendships and memories formed during those years. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Benjamin and Jewel Owen, his uncle Brady Owen, and his niece Angela Owen.

David is survived by his beloved daughter, Brandi Cook; his brothers, Benjamin and Alan Owen; his nephew, Alan Owen Jr.; and his niece, Catherine Owen. His family and friends will remember him for his warm heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering strength.

David will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
