Mr. David Walton Panter

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. David Walton Panter, age 84, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, December 19, 2025. Mr. Panter was born in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Ralph Calvert Panter and the late Eleanor Ploszay Panter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a twin brother, Daniel Panter and a sister, Rebecca Duvall.

Mr. Panter retired from Conway Trucking. He is a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Jefferson, GA, a member of Franciscan Fraternity and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the United States Navy but he was most proud of his 40 years serving Kairos Prison Ministry.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Panter of Jefferson, GA. Daughter, Paula Digiovanni (Matthew) of Jefferson, GA. Two grandchildren, Kyle Digiovanni and Katelyn Digiovanni both of Jefferson, GA. Niece, Julie Hiland of Stone Mountain, GA and two nephews, Michael Panter of McDonough, GA and Craig Panter of Hawaii.

A funeral mass with be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday December 23, 2025 from St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church with Father Timothy Gallagher officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 P.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the church.

The family request, in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church 180 Elrod Road Jefferson, GA 30549 in honor of Mr. David Panter.
