David L. Park, 69, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Sunday October 26, 2025 at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born on November 6, 1955 in Chillicothe, the son of Paul David and M. Carolyn (Sherrick) Park. On February 5, 1983 he married Jandyll N. White, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Chastity (Isaac) Ransdell, SC; and Rachel (Jesse) Zamora, Chillicothe; sons, Jeremy (Brenda) Park, Monroe, OH; Drew (Amanda) Park, TX; Derek Park and Jerad Park, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kyler, Blake, Kannan, Nathan, Easton, Breylee, Trinety, Rowen, David, Mason, Lexie, Parker, Ellie, Justice, and Ava, great-grandchildren, Montae, Exodus, Kiera, and Kaelon, a sister, Sondra (W. Joseph) Coleman, a brother, Douglas Park, numerous nieces and nephews, and special family friends, Jessica Streitenberger, Timmy Sines, and Levi Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Noah Ransdell, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Park, and his in-laws, James and Phyllis White.
David was a veteran of the United States Navy, and had worked for the City of Chillicothe prior to his retirement. He enjoyed picking up rocks, wood carving, painting, tinkering-often starting projects, but not necessarily finishing them, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday October 31, 2025 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastors Mike White and Rob Collins, officiating. Burial will follow in Park Family Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hours of service on Friday. The family would like to invite those in attendance to wear bib overalls in honor of David. An online memorial guestbook is available at www.fawcett-palmer.com.
The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home are honored to serve the Park Family.
