David Parry, formerly of St. Cloud, MN, passed away at home on September 30, 2023.  He was 74 years old.

Dave was born in St. Cloud May 14, 1949 to Ed and Bern Parry.  He graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral high school and went on to attend St Cloud State University.  He graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Pharmacy.

Dave returned home to St. Cloud to work at his father’s drug store, Bruning Pharmacy.  He took over the family business and worked there until the sale of the store.  Dave moved to Crosslake where he lived on Lower Whitefish lake.  He ran Lakes Area Pharmacies, with stores in Pine River and Pequot Lakes, until his retirement and sale of his stores.

Dave was an avid fisherman.  He loved to fish the lakes on the Whitefish chain, and made several trips to Canada to fish for lunker walleye, northern pike and lake trout.   Dave was also a Corvette enthusiast. 

A celebration of life will be held at Riverside Terrace in Sauk Rapids, MN on Wednesday, October 11th from 5pm to 7pm.   A mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on October 12th at Immaculate Heart Church in Crosslake, MN Family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service. 

Dave is survived by his daughter, Priscilla Rausch, sister, Kathy (Steve) Schultenover, brothers John (Marge) Parry and Kevin (Mary Kaye) Parry, and several nephews and nieces.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you consider a donation to the St Cloud Cathedral High School Foundation or Whitefish Area Property Owners Association (WAPOA), an organization that protects the lakes on the Whitefish chain.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
