David Martinez Pastrano passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025 at the age of 61. Born on December 3, 1963, David lived a life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to those he held dear. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
David's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of connection and community. He was a cherished husband to Angie Pastrano, a devoted father to Alyssa Lesa, and a beloved brother to Eddy and Jimmy Pastrano. His legacy includes his adored grandson, Josh Sandoval, who will carry forward the lessons and love imparted by his grandfather. Although preceded in death by his mother Felipa Pastrano and father Louis Pastrano, the warmth of David's memory will forever be a comfort to his family.
For years, David was a skilled upholsterer at Gabriel and Son Upholstery Shop, where his meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail were not just a profession but a passion. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and humor, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a smile. David's generous nature extended beyond the workplace, touching the lives of all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.
David's interests were simple yet profound in their ability to bring joy. He found solace in the melodies of music, which would often fill the rooms of his home, creating an ambiance of comfort and happiness. A lover of movies and wrestling, David enjoyed the excitement and escapism they provided, often sharing these moments with friends and family. Even more so, he was fondly known by many of his friends as "Raider," due to his love for the Las Vegas Raider Football Team. In final true form to his character, he had an appreciation for cleanliness and order which was reflected in all aspects of his life, from his personal appearance to the spaces he inhabited.
Those who knew David would describe him as loving, funny, and generous. His big heart was evident in every interaction, and his sense of humor was a source of endless laughter and light-heartedness. David's generosity knew no bounds; he was always the first to offer his support and the last to expect anything in return.
As we bid farewell to David Martinez Pastrano, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. We honor a man who was not only the pillar of his family but also a beacon of kindness in his community. Though he may have departed from this world, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he touched.
David's journey through life was a testament to the enduring power of love and the strength of the human spirit. His laughter will echo in the stories retold, his kindness will be felt in the acts of service inspired by his example, and his love will remain a guiding force for generations to come.
