David E. Pate, 81, of Bryan passed away Friday, January 2, 2026. David was born on November 7, 1944, in Bryan to Sam B. and Virginia Pate.

David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Ann. They were married on April 19, 1968, in Galveston, Texas. Other survivors include his son, Mark and his wife Chandra, daughter-in-law Feli, sister Martha Ray Jones, brother Sam B. Pate, Jr. and his wife Judy, brother-in-law James Drews and his wife Barbara, brother-in-law Billy Drews and his wife Connie, and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

David was a 1963 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan and a 1968 graduate of Sam Houston State University.

David will be missed tremendously as he was a kind and generous person with a very giving heart. David owned Texas Mobile Home Outlet and spent many hours there and was the best salesperson in the state of Texas. David then went into the oil field business owning and operating the best oilfield rental business in the state of Texas.

David was preceded in death by his son Drew, parents Sam and Virginia Pate, sister Helen and her husband Bill Bailey, sister Betty Nell and her husband Lonnie Wilkerson, brother-in-law Chester Jones, parents-in-law Alvin and Helen Drews, brother-in-law Donald Drews.

David will be laid to rest at Old Bethel Cemetery in a private family gravesite service.
