David Patton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laird Funeral Home on Oct. 24, 2023.
David was a strong-willed man but had a sweet and loving side. He lived life to the fullest, always making sure to save time for family and friends. There was no doubt that he was always ready for a gathering and would get everyone fed because.it is what he did. He was truly one-of-a-kind! His eternal happiness would rub off on everyone around him. And when he and his sister, Danite was together on the weekend, the sound of them singing brought joy to everyone. David was kind and generous, always trying to help others and to do right by those he came across. He never seemed to allow anything to put a damper on his day and even when faced with a cancer diagnosis, his attitude was "Ok, then let's get it fixed!"
David loved his family and friends, but he also loved hunting and fishing! When hunting season rolled around, everyone knew he would love them from a distance or at least from the woods! His passion for hunting was proven when he was set to marry his precious wife, Doris. On the day of their wedding, there would be no vows made until he was back from the woods because it was the first weekend of the season and Doris was very grateful that he didn't get a deer that day!
David's loyalty, honesty, great work ethics and ability to love and forgive will always be the basis of the wonderful memories he leaves behind. Heaven truly received an angel. He will forever be missed. Until we see you again we will love you till then.
David is survived by his best friend and wife, Doris Patton; daughter, Amanda Jeffcoat; sons, Shelby Patten and Joshua Patton; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Debbie Hazel & husband, Gene and Dena Walters & husband, Billy; brothers-in-law, Wayne Eddins & wife, Heather, Michael Eddins and Jim Prosperie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Gay Patton; daughter, Samantha Joe Patten; brother, Dennis Ray Patton and grandparents, Ruby & Andrew Patton.
