David Lynn Peais, age 70, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at his home in Yankton.
A celebration of life will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 8 at Goglin Funeral Home in Yankton. Visitation begins at 12:30 p.m.
Interment, with military honors, will be at the Yankton City Cemetery, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
David Lynn Peais was born January 27, 1954 to C.H. and Mildred (Spurlock) Peais in Port Arthur, Texas. David attended Port Neches-Groves High School in Texas, graduating in 1972. He married Susan Jane Taylor, September 13, 1975 in Oxford, England.
David, a US Air Force Veteran, served as an aircraft armament systems technician for 19 years and 11 months. He was honorably discharged at the time of his retirement.
He enjoyed watching videos on Tiktok, then sharing them with others. David was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and had an interest in anything about the history of wars. David was always a hard worker with a very caring, generous nature. His sense of humor, made him a great story teller of family memories.
David is survived by his daughter, Kelly Peais (Valorie Duhon); grandson, Justin Hidinger (Sarah Hidinger); granddaughters, Katelynn Hidinger and Aalyiah Vancleave and great-great-grandson, Rylan Odom.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Peais; daughter, Dawn Hulse; brother, Steven Peais; mother, Mildred Spurlock and father, C.H. Peais.
