David Pilley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Eline Funeral Home - Hampstead on Feb. 15, 2025.
David Alan Pilley, Sr., 63, of Hampstead, Maryland, was called home by the Lord on February 13, 2025. He was born on September 8, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the beloved son of the late Bonnie and Anna (Hensler) Pilley.
A man of great heart and spirit, David was known for his sense of humor, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family, work, and community. His strong faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he found strength in his belief, which guided him through both good times and challenges. For over 30 years, he was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and also a member of the Hampstead Coon Club. David's life was marked by his love for his family and the things that brought him joy: riding his Harley, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones. Despite his large stature and strong personality, David was a gentle giant, always ready to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends in need. He was a fighter, facing life's challenges with determination and grace, never giving up.
David is survived by his children: Shannon, Debbie, David Jr. and his wife Emily, Lindsey, Cole, and his stepson Logan Korcheski. He is also survived by his sisters, Robin Pilley and Bonnie Latham, his brother, Byron Pilley, and his longtime girlfriend, Monika, as well as, two nephews, a niece, numerous grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
David was predeceased by his son, Brian Katuthat, stepdaughter, Mandi Phillips, and his sister, Debbie Pilley.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 2-4 pm and 6-7:30 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S Main Street, Hampstead, Maryland. A service will follow at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
