David Polmounter Obituary
David C. Polmounter, age 87, of Grayling, MI passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2025 at Munson Healthcare – Grayling Hospital. He was born on October 13, 1937.
He retired from GM Willow Run Assembly Plant in 1989. He loved going camping, hunting, watching WWE wrestling, car races, and tinkering with things. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves behind his wife Martha Polmounter, 3 boys Gary (Becky) Polmounter, Doug (Stephanie) Schell, and Jay (Liz) Miley; daughter Kim (James) Robertson; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; siblings, Glen (Linda) Polmounter, Myra Cook, and Sheryl (Mike) Garner; and his special fur babies Daisy and Starr.
He is preceded in death by daughter Trisha Lee and 3 boys Rick Polmounter, Duane Polmounter and Jody Miley, brother Ernest Polmounterand his parents Ernest and Lillian Polmounter.
Visitation will begin Sunday, October 12, 2025, 1:00 pm until the beginning of memorial service at 2:00 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home. A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home.
