Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service - West BendDavid R. Polster, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
David was born on August 12, 1951 in New Holstein, WI to the late Gordon and Serena (nee Weber) Polster. He was united in marriage to Susan Streblow in 1974. They had two children together, Stacy and Chris. Dave was very hardworking and had many jobs in the food industry, managing Mr. Steak, Country Kitchens, Burger Kings and Top of the Ridge restaurant and finally working for the West Bend School District. Dave never truly retired; his strong work ethic kept him active at the family business, Ivy Manor.
When he did have free time, he enjoyed family road trips and later having adventures with his grandchildren. Dave always encouraged his children, grandchildren and foster grandchildren to work hard but spend time to learn and experience new things. He often told many stories about his time with Boy Scouts, baseball, the Jaycees, and the places he had visited.
In recent years he spent time on Lake Bernice in Campbellsport teaching his grandson how to build decks, birdhouses and fish over the summers. During the colder seasons, he delighted in building elaborate LEGO sets with the grandchildren and working on arts and craft projects that brought them all closer. He was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Brewers. Packer and Badger games.
Those left to cherish David’s memory include his wife, Susan Polster; children, daughter Stacy (nee Polster) and husband Kevin Feltes, son Chris Polster and wife Kristyn (nee Evans), grandchildren Liam Noreika, Mercer Polster and Liliana Polster.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by, brother Steven Polster, in-laws Howard and Dolores Streblow,
