David Wayne Presnall, 77, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at UnityPoint Health- Marshalltown Hospital.

Graveside services for Dave will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown with a luncheon to follow at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. David Presnall was born on February 1, 1948 in Marshalltown. He was the son of Wayne and Hollis (Clemons) Presnall. Dave graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1966. After high school, Dave served his country honorably in the United States Coast Guard for ten years, then joined the Army Reserves for ten years. Dave worked a variety of jobs during his lifetime, including work as a machinist, driving semis, and on the railroad. He loved animals and had many pets over the years. He was well known for always loving to hold babies whenever the opportunity arose. He adored his nieces and grand nieces and nephews.

Dave is survived by his children: Jeff Frohwein of Illinois, Troy Presnall of Tennessee, Dawn Harris of Michigan and Melissa Hill of Michigan. He is also survived by his sister: Ronda Swyter of Ames. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew: Matthew Healey.
